We urge you – call your Representatives today. Tell them “I strongly oppose Section 453 of the Interior Appropriations Bill or any provision that shields pesticide companies from liability. Companies must be held responsible when their products harm.“ Someone in the office will answer the phone and take notes on your call. When they get bombarded with the same message, they listen.
We know it may seem intimidating to call your reps, but keep in mind – this goes beyond Roundup. Vaccines are already immune from liability nationwide, and now pesticide manufacturers may enjoy that same protection. If we don’t act together now, what would stop every company from obtaining these legal shields for their products? We will wake up one day soon with no right to sue for injuries caused by the negligence of companies like car manufacturers, airlines, or food suppliers, ever again.
